Generators


 
Generators are in use on construction sites as a stationary power supply. They are also used in hospitals as an emergency power supply.
 
The diesel driven generators engine performance start from 5 kW up to >1,000 kw.
 
A CRT® system can be used to treat the exhaust gas emissions.

CRT® & CCRT® system

These systems are normally suitable for use of various versions of gensets such as portable, stationary, construction sites, civil protection, emergency power supply, engine pumps and mobile floodlights for engine power ranging from >30kW to >1,000 kW. The CRT®/CCRT® systems fulfil the requirements on functionality and high availability without limiting the performance of the engine.

This depends partly on how hard the engine is working during the normal operation of the machine as this affects the exhaust gas temperature which needs to be above a certain level for 50% of the time for these systems to regenerate reliably.

The other factor is the balance of NOx to particulate level in the exhaust gas, which is often determined by the certified emissions level of the engine. The CCRT® system has the filter coated with catalyst as well as having a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) in front of the filter (as in the CRT®). This extends the operating window of the filter system to allow reliable regeneration with lower exhaust temperatures or lower NOx to particulate ratio in the exhaust gas. Our specialists can advise which system is most suitable for your specific application.

 

These systems are for use with small utility Diesel engines in the range of 1kW to 30 kW operating with very low exhaust gas temperature (< 220C) and not suitable for CCRT®. DPF-C systems are not sensitive to fuel quality and will need regenerating after each work shift or as indicated by the filter monitor. The DPF-C consists of a filter only, which will be exchanged by fast connectors for external regeneration with our regeneration station type REG-C. The regeneration takes 60 minutes, and another module can be installed very easily to minimise engine down time.
